Finansal Gelişme ve İktisadi Büyüme İlişkisi: Türkiye Örneği

1980'li yıllardan itibaren dünya fınansal piyasalarının hızla liberalizasyona gitmesi ve büyük gelişme göstermesi küreselleşme sürecine yeni bir boyut katmıştır.Mali serbestleşmeden ve dünya fınansal piyasalarına entegrasyondan beklenen faydalar teorik ve ampirik olarak kanıtlanmış ve genel kabul görmüş olsa da birçok iktisatçı, küreselleşmenin gelişmekte olan ülkeler üzerindeki olumsuz etkilerini göz önüne alarak, konuya şüphe ile yaklaşmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye için 1987-2003 dönemi verilerine dayanarak, finansal gelişme ve iktisadi büyüme arasındaki nedensellik ilişkisinin, birim kök testleri ve Granger nedensellik analizi aracılığıyla tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır.

The liberalization and rapid development of world financial markets in the 1980s have added a new dimension to the globalization process.Although the potential benefits of financial liberalization and integration to world financial markets have been theoretically and empirically proved and generally recognized, a number of economists, considering the negative impacts of globalization on developing countries, approach this issue with skepticism.This study aims to find out the causal relationship between financial development and economic growth in Turkey, using unit root and Granger causality tecniques, based on data during, the period 1987-2003.
