Analyzing the Relationship Between Information Technology and Development by Using Canonical Correlation Analysis

At the present day, Information Technologies have been accepted as a prominent factor which effects socio-economic development level of the countries. However, determining the effect of these technologies on social fact and economic growth such as life quality, education and health necessitates measuring the level of the effect. For this purpose, in the study dependence between "development" and "usage and investment of information technologies" has been analyzed by using Canonical Correlation Analysis, which is one of the multivariate statistical methods. With this analysis, the level of dependence between development and information technologies has been studied for developed and developing countries separately.
