Etik konusunun artan önemine rağmen, akademisyenlerin meslek etiği konusunda gerçekleştirilen çalışmaların sayısı çok azdır. Öncelikle bu konuya dikkati çekmeyi amaçlayan çalışmada ilk olarak etik teorisindeki yaklaşımlar kapsamında akademisyenlik mesleği ele alınacak, daha sonra ise meslekleriyle ilgili çeşitli etik sorunlara karşı akademisyenlerin tutumları belirlenmeye çalışılacaktır.

Despite the growing importance of the ethics issue, number of studies concerning professional ethics among academicians is relatively rare. Aiming to focus on this fact, this study concentrates primarily on the academic profession within the the theoritical frame work of ethics followed by the determination of the attitudes of academicians towards ethical problems related to their professions.
