Renal sinüs lipomatozis: Bilgisayarlı tomografi eşliğinde farklı olgular

Amaç: Bu çalışmada renal sinüs dokusunda farklı derecelerde yağ birikimini gösteren olguların bilgisayarlı tomografi BT bulguları sunulmakta ve güncel literatür eşliğinde renal sinüs lipomatozis gözden geçirilmektedir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmamızda geriye dönük olarak, BT arşivimiz araştırıldı. Mayıs 2010 - Eylül 2011 tarihleri arasında, farklı kliniklerden, BT ünitemize yönlendirilen 11 farklı olgu değerlendirildi.Bulgular: Yaşları 36 ve 80 arasında değişen, 5’i erkek, 6’sı kadın toplam 11 hastaya renal sinüs lipomatozis tanısı konuldu. Bu hastalardan 7’sinde staghorn böbrek taşı, 2 hastada non-spesifik karın ağrın ağrısı, 1 hastada akut pankreatit, 1 hastada akut pyelonefrit mevcuttu, BT ile tetkik ve/veya kontrollerinde renal sinüs lipomatozis saptandı.Sonuç: Konvansiyonel radyografik inceleme yöntemleri ile tanısı zor olan renal sinüs lipomatozis benign bir durumdur ve radyografik olarak ürolojik tümörlerle karışabilmektedir. BT, hastaların doğru tanı almasına yardımcı olmakla birlikte; adipöz doku büyümesinin derecesini, komşu organlara yayılımını, varsa komplikasyonları belirlemede de önemlidir. Kesin tanı; ürolog, radyolog ve patologların birlikte çalışmasıyla konulabilecektir

Renal sinus lipomatosis: Different cases with computed tomography

Objective: In this study, computed tomography CT findings of the cases with different levels of fat storage in renal sinus tissue are represented and renal sinus lipomatosis is evaluated in the light of recent literature. Material and Methods: In our study, the CT archive was investigated retrospectively. Between 2010 May – 2011 September. Eleven different cases who have been sent to our CT unit from different clinics had been evaluated.Results: Five male, 6 female; totally 11 different patients had been diagnosed as renal sinus lipomatosis with CT findings. The ages of the patients differed between 36 and 80. In 7 of the patients who have been included to this study, had staghorn renal calculi. Two of them had non-spesific abdominal pain, 1 patient had acute pancreatitis and 1 patient had pyelonephritis. All of these patients had renal sinus lipomatosis.Conclusion: Renal sinus lipomatosis is a benign pathology and the diagnosis with conventional radiological methods may be difficult. It may be confused with urological tumors. CT helps us to diagnose correctly, determine the level of adipose tissue proliferation, extention to adjacent tissues and the complications. The patients can be diagnosed definitively with the study of urologists, radiologs and pathologs together
