Cardiac rhabdomyoma in a patient with tuberous sclerosis: Spontaneous regression in a 5-year follow-up
Rhabdomyoma is the most common cardiac tumor in children usually associated with tuberous sclerosis. Rhabdomyoma has mostly a benign course and regresses spontaneously. In this report, a case of cardiac rhabdomyoma associated with tuberous sclerosis in a five months old male patient referred to our clinic for evaluation of cardiac murmur is presented. After a 5 year-follow up, the tumor completely resolved spontaneously.
