Fibula agenezisi, tip 2

Fibula agenezisi nadir rastlanan konjenital anomalilerden biri olup uzun kemik oluşum defektleri içinde en sık görülen iskelet displazisidir. Üç tip sınıflandırması vardır ve tip 2’de fibulanın komplet yokluğuyla beraber tibiada angulasyon izlenir. Buna ayak deformiteleri de eşlik edebilir. Tip 2, fibula agenezisi tiplerinin %35’ini oluşturur. Erkeklerde iki kat fazla görülür. Etiyolojisi bilinmemekle birlikte çevre faktörlerinin (ör; radyasyon) etkili olabile-ceği düşünülmüştür. İntrauterin dönemde fibula agenezisi tanısı ultrasonografi ile konulur. Ailenin bilgilendirilmesi, danışmanlık hizmetinin verilmesi ve en önemlisi gebeliğin devamına karar verilmesi açısından erken tanı oldukça önemlidir.

Fibula agenesis type 2: A case report

Agenesis of the fibula is one of the rare congenital abnormalities and the most common skeletal dysplasia of long bone developmental defects. It is classified into 3 types. Complete absence of the fibula and angulation of the tibia have been seen and foot deformities may accompany in type 2. It has been detected in males twice as females and 35% of this condition is type 2. Although its etiology is unknown, some environmental factors such as radiation has been thought as etiological factors. Intrauterine fibula agenesis is diagnosed by ultrasonography. Early diagnosis is important for counseling the family and decision of continuation of the pregnancy.
