Personality is an important variable which is subjected to many researches in the field of organizational behavior. One of the recent highlighted studies in the so-called field with regard to personality is core self evaluations. Core self evaluations are fundamental evaluations of the individual that are related to himself, others and the world. When the individuals make evaluations according to their jobs and lives, these evaluations will be affected by the individuals’ core self evaluations. In the studies which are made till now, it is seen that core self evaluations are related with so many outcome variables. Among these outcome variables, job and life satisfaction are also included. If both life satisfaction and job satisfaction are affected by the individual's core self evaluations, then the relationship between them could be derived from a common effect. The main objective of this research is to examine the role of core self evaluations in relation between job and life satisfaction. As a result of the analyses made referring to the data of 479 questionnaires collected from white-collar employees in the metropoles, when the core self evaluations are controlled, it is found that the relationship between job and life satisfaction has weakened and it is appeared that this common effect should be carefully assessed when examining the effect of spillover.
