Bilişsel Uyumsuzluk Teorisi Üzerine Kavramsal Bir İnceleme: Satın Alma Perspektifi

Bilişsel uyumsuzluk karar verme eylemi sonrasında yaşanabilen, psikolojik olarak rahatsız edici bir durumdur. Bireylerin tüm eylem ve davranışları, bilinçli ya da bilinçsiz olarak bir karar verme işlemidir. Karar verme davranışı, yaşamın her aşamasında kendini gösterir ve karar vermenin söz konusu olduğu her durumda bilişsel uyumsuzluk yaşama olasılığı vardır. Leon Festinger, 1957 yılında bireyin inandığı şey ile bu inanca karşı çıkan bilginin tutarsızlığı nedeniyle ortaya çıkan ve psikolojik olarak rahatsız edici bir durum olan "Bilişsel Uyumsuzluk" teorisini tanımlamıştır. Sosyal psikolog Leon Festinger’in bilişsel uyumsuzluk teorisi, sosyal psikoloji tarihinde en önemli ve etkili teorilerden biri olarak görülmektedir. Satın alma davranışı da alternatifler arasından seçim yaparak karar vermeyi gerektirir ve bu nedenle teori, tüketici davranışlarının nedenlerini anlamaya çalışan pazarlama teorisyenleri tarafından da benimsenmiştir. Buna göre çalışmanın amacı, teorinin ortaya çıkışını ve temel kavramlarını tanımlayarak teorinin anlaşılmasını sağlamak, satın alma ve tüketici davranışı alanında teorik ve ampirik araştırmaların yolunu açmaktır. Bilimsel araştırmalara yönelik mevcut boşlukların tanımlanmasının konuya olan ilgiyi artırma ve bilginin geliştirilerek daha fazla kullanılması yoluyla genelleştirilebilirliğini artırma çabalarına katkıda bulunduğu düşünülmektedir.
