Adli Tıp Kurumu Fizik İhtisas Dairesi Belge İnceleme Şubesi’ne gelen vakada, 01.10.1998 ve 01.04.2002 tarihli iki adet belge, inceleme konusu olmuştur. Söz konusu belgelerde bulunan imzaların atfedilen şahsa ait olup olmadığı sorulmaktadır. Yapılan inceleme sonucunda her iki belgede de atılan imzaların aynı şahsın eli ürünü olduğu kanaatine varıldı. İlk bakışta belgelerde dikkat çeken herhangi sıra dışı bir unsur bulunmamaktaydı. Buna rağmen edinilen tecrübeler doğrultusunda inceleme konusu belgeler Video Spectral Comparator (VSC) cihazı kullanılarak değerlendirildi. İnceleme sonucunda sahtecinin 2002 tarihli belgeyi 1998 tarihli belgeye dalgınlıkla zemin olarak kullandığı ve yazdığı el yazısına ait fulajın 2002 tarihli belgeye geçtiği tespit edildi. İnceleme konusu belgeler değerlendirilirken Adli Tıp uzmanlarına ve diğer belgeyle alakadar olan personele düşen bazı görevler vardır. Bununla birlikte yargıçlara düşen görevler de bulunmaktadır. Yargıçlar, adli belge inceleme konusunda bilirkişi ataması yaparken, özellikle inceleme konusu belgenin VSC cihazı altında değerlendirilmesini istemelidirler. Bu cihaza sahip olmayan bilirkişilerin görevlendirilmemelerine özen göstermelidirler.
