Konservatuvarlarda öğrencilerin başarı düzeylerinin arttırılması ve hedefe uygun mezun edilebilmesinde enstrüman kalitesi önemlidir. Çalışmanın amacı, konservatuarda eğitim alan öğrencilerin ekonomik durumlarının enstrüman seçimleri ile başarı düzeyleri üzerinde etkisinin olup olmadığı konusundaki görüşlerinin belirlenmesidir. Araştırma, Kafkas Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuvarı ve öğrencileriyle sınırlıdır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenoloji deseni kullanılmış ve verilerin toplanması amacıyla Kafkas Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuvarı öğrencileri ile odak grup görüşmesi yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesinde betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada, Kafkas Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuvarı öğrencilerinin çoğunluğunun yaşadıkları ekonomik zorluklar nedeniyle kaliteli enstrümanlara sahip olamadıkları ya da idare etmek, yetinmek zorunda kaldıkları vasat enstrümanların, etkinverimli bireysel icra çalışması yapmalarına yönelik isteklerini, gayretlerini, odaklarını ve şevklerini kırmakta olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğrencilerin bu türden çeşitli sıkıntılara maruz kalmalarının konservatuvardaki eğitim süreçleri doğrultusundaki uyum ve başarı seviyelerinin dramatik bir biçimde düşmesine neden olduğu, söz konusu öğrencilerin mevcut ekonomik düzeylerinin, onların enstrüman seçimleri ile icra performanslarına yönelik olarak doğrudan belirleyici ve olumsuz bir etkiye sahip olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Bu bağlamda, bireyler arasındaki fırsat eşitsizliğinin giderilmesinde ve bireylere devlet tarafından mali bütçe ayrılarak, sanat kredisi adı altında geri ödemeli şekilde burs verilmesinin hem alana hem de öğrenciye olumlu yönde katkı sağlayacağı ve bireylerin başarılarını olumsuz yönde etkileyen etmenlerin de ortadan kaldırılması adına faydalı olacağı düşünülmektedir.

Instrument quality is important for increasing the success levels of the students in the conservatories and graduating in accordance with the target. The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of students studying in the conservatory on whether their economic status has an effect on instrument selection and achievement levels. The research is limited to Kafkas University State Conservatory and its students. Phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study and a focus group interview was conducted with the students of Kafkas University State Conservatory to collect the data. Descriptive analysis method was used in the analysis of the data obtained from the research. In this research, it was concluded that the majority of the students of Kafkas University State Conservatory could not have qualified instruments because of the economic difficulties they experienced or they had to settle for. It was concluded that the level of adaptation and success of the students in the conservatory education process dramatically decreased due to the various kinds of problems that the students had, and the current economic level of these students had a direct determinative and negative effect on their instrument choices and performances. In this context, it is considered that the elimination of inequality of opportunity between individuals and the allocation of a financial budget by the state to the individuals and the reimbursement of scholarships under the name of art credits will contribute to both the field and the student in a positive way and to eliminate the factors that affect the success of individuals negatively.
