Learning a second language is not to learn just grammar structures, rules and words. Learning a foreign language is to solve the nation’s cultural codes, to know its cultural treasury in detailed and to name this in context integrating with basic language rules. Moral and material values of a nation take place in language. The factors that have taken place in the language are transmitted via the language. In this respect in language teaching, cultural transmission constitutes an important issue. In foreign language teaching, texts play important role in transposition of cultural codes of the source language. Firstly including textbooks, texts in them are major transmitters and tutorial of the culture.( Erdem, Gün, Karateke,2015: 8) For a person’s learning a foreign language and using it effectively, she needs to know items of the language. Just knowing the structure of that language is not possible to use it effectively. The language is the most important social part that reflects the culture of a society. Based on this reality, we can say that the way to learn the language in the strict sense is to know the history of the community that speaks the language, traditions, customs, the lifestyle. Desired the main idea in Teaching Turkish to foreigners in cultural transmission expression, besides grammar structures of language that want to teach, is to reflect the culture of the language. To that end, many researchers states that it should be taught the lessons and prepared the textbooks for this purpose in their studies. About the context of textbooks, investigating whether there is sufficient text or not have been many studies on the transmission of culture. For instance, Ülker(2007) in the example of “Hittite Textbooks”, in the study of ‘An Analyst and Evaluator Look to the Cultural Transmission Process in Teaching Turkish as Foreign Language’, he studied in the subject area, kind of text and visuality of books and concluded that those books have quality to succeed in Cultural Transmission with the criteria discussed.Researchers that studies on Cultural Transmission in Teaching Turkish to foreigners, they are agreed on for more permanent and effective learning besides grammar features, explaining the parts of Turkish culture. In accordance with this purpose, transmission of oral culture works continuing their existence with originality have a important role. For an example, Akpinar from his own study named Using Idioms and Proverbs in Teaching Turkish to foreigners, concluded that proverbs and idioms should definitely used in Turkish Teaching to foreigners process for doing it in certain way. The study is remarkable for revealing the importance of it. When the area scanned, In Turkish Teaching as foreign language (Demir and Acik, 2011) it’s seen that studies are made on intercultural approach and features in texts that will select, as a device for transmission, proverbs and idioms, (Bolukbas and Keskin, 2010), the function of texts (Kalfa, 2013), the usage of oral culture. It should not to be skipped over the truth that any society has a specific cultural value. Hence it should not be excluded a society that we don’t know and finding wrongs. Individuals should see that there are different ones other from their own cultures and with this truth should succeed in being tolerant and open for learning. This is however possible to accept the truth that any society has a specific culture. As a result, researchers who study issues related to cultural transmission in the Turkish language teaching to foreigners, our next language to learn the grammatical features more permanent and effective, introduction of elements of our culture also agree on the issue. Our oral culture products that existed in the original form of Turkish culture is important to transfer. At this point, the text contained in the book about the culture of drawing attention to the reality that the main transmitter, the course will be taken in the selection of texts to be more attentive to the book has been emphasized.
