BIRTH OF THE ART, ONTIC INTEGRITY AND QUALIFICATION OF THE ART WORK

There are many things on definition, emergence and functions of the art to be said. In addition to various assumptions on the emergence of the art, there are different definitions and explanations on the definition and functions of the art due to its characteristic of relativity. However, there are systematic and consistent views on the matter of aesthetic and it is persistently defended that the art is a unique field. Thus, it is an undeniable reality that the art responses a need of a spiritual dimension of the human. The philosophical anthropology states that each society has a unique perspective of life and it becomes visible along with the spiritual existences which are the success of the human. This study shortly considers the assumptions on the emergence of the art and object analyse of the ontological philosophy to be able to explain the components which are required in a qualified art work. Since very early existence of the humanity, a very strong fight to survive has been given. Despite no difference between primitive humans and modern people in terms of physiological needs such as hunger, thirsty, shelter, etc, the psychological needs of people in modern era are as important as basic need, today, even more. In this context, the progresses of the civilisations and their traces in the scene of the history are important since they indicate the development in the identity of the humans. That is to say that the primitive tools reaching today from the past, drawings on cave walls, first fields of settlement and others are indicate how we developed when we compare them with current means of production, art and lifestyles The life of a modern individual became so complicated and it is difficult to compare with the past. Although, over consumption is seen as an obligation, the spiritual needs may be ignored, so there can be violence, unfairness, psychological illnesses which may damage the social order, can occur. Since an individual contains “good and bad”, “beauty and ugly” naturally, it may be necessary to choose between the “right or wrong” for the actions. Therefore, a good education is important to teach the accepted values in the society. As the human admires the “beauty”, the institutions like “religion” and “art” are always necessary to teach. Almost in any society, no matter is it is monotheistic or not, the religion affects all the spheres of the life. It is very clear to see these effects on art pieces. Furthermore, the art pieces reflect the lifestyle and life perception of that particular society, as the important sources. It is the most obvious proof of that thesis as the civilisations in east and west developed differently. As we emphasized before, the art that develops along with the conscious actions and needs of humans, has theories which are accepted by the aestheticians, despite their controversial functions. From the authors in Ancient Greek to Renaissance painters and XVII. Century philosophers all had partially indicated the some parts of the artist and aesthetic ideals, all these ideas could only be gathered in XVIII century. In this period, the “art” became to refer an independent immaterial field. We can find very first discussions on art in the works of Plato (427-347 BC) and Aristotle (384-322 BC). Then, many works had been written and all are favoured today. Although the question of what art is also causes a discussion on its function in terms of “benefit” or “beauty”, the aestheticians are for “beauty” and defined the essential aim of the art as “to create an aesthetic feeling”. Whatever the “beauty” in the art piece affecting the human and causing admiration is the component in the complete of the art piece. While the ancient ontology conceptualized the whole universe as the form and substance, idea and thing, modern ontology is compatible with “intentio recta” objective, in other words what exists. According to the founder of the modern ontology, Nicolai Hartmann, an ontology base on “intention recta” will try to search and analyse real world together with the structure in its heterogeneous nature. The ontology will search the “comprehensiveness” and “unity” of the real world. On that point, the art pieces are also real existences and they are comprehended. The comprehensive thing is the heterogeneous plurality; that is not a random plurality but the plurality of the layers. Since Aristotle, it has been known that there are organic and spiritual existences over the material existence. The new ontology perceives the existence as an ontological whole. There are either real or ideal or aesthetic existences in it. As the art pieces exist, they also have heterogeneous plurality that is layers. Therefore, while a good art piece is being examined and assessed, these layers should be considered. The art piece is firstly a creation. The creation consist of contradictory existential layers which are real (front) and irreal (back). The front structure is a clearly known layer. On the other hand, the back structure has the real immaterial content and the essence of the art pieces are understood by the help of the depth of the back structure. The value of a qualified art piece appears as the perceiving subject understands the secrecy in the back, means depth of the back structure. Therefore, the effects of the art critics on the access of the art lovers to qualified art pieces. It is not necessary for an ordinary art-lover to have a scientific knowledge on the art that s/he is interested in, but it is necessary to try to have a taste for art. For instance, a person having no poet taste, s/he may feel something or think deeply and sense the value in the wording of the work of art.
