PENN ETKİLEŞİMLİ AKRAN OYUN ÖLÇEĞİ EBEVEYN FORMUNUN (PIPPS-P) GEÇERLİK VE GÜVENİRLİK ÇALIŞMASI

Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı Fantuzzo, Mendez ve Tighe (1998) tarafından geliştirilen Penn Etkileşimli Akran Oyun Ölçeği-Ebeveyn Formunu Türkçeye uyarlamak, ölçeğin geçerlik ve güvenirlik analizlerini yapmaktır. Gereç-Yöntem: Penn Etkileşimli Akran Oyun Ölçeği erken çocukluk ortamlarındaki akran oyun davranışlarını ebeveynlerin ve öğretmenlerinin anlamaları için 32 maddelik üç boyutlu bir ölçektir. Araştırma verileri İstanbul İl Merkezinde bulunan çoğunlukla orta ve üst sosyo-ekonomik düzeyde, yaş ortalaması 60.38 (SS= 9.98) olan, okul öncesi eğitim alan, 442 çocuğun ebeveynlerinden toplanmıştır. İlk adım olarak, Penn Etkileşimli Akran Oyun Ölçeği-Ebeveyn Formu dil ve kültürel açıdan Türkçeye uyarlandı. Ölçeğin geçerliliği Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi, alt ölçekler arası korelasyonlar ve alt-üst %27 lik grup puan farklarıyla ölçülmüştür. Geçerliliği ölçeğin iç güvenirliği de Cronbach's alpha yöntemi ile hesaplanmıştır. Buna ek olarak ölçeğin diğer ölçekler ile yordayıcı geçerliliğine bakıldı. Bulgular: Yapılan Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizleri sonucu ölçeğin orijinal ölçekteki gibi üç faktörlü bir yapıya sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir: Oyun Etkileşimi (?2(26)= 90.719, CFI=0.901, RMSEA=0.075, SRMR=0.05), Oyunun Bozulması (?2(35)= 88.319, CFI=0.916, RMSEA=0.059, SRMR=0.043) ve Oyundan Kopma (?2(34)= 81.715, CFI=0.892, RMSEA=0.056, SRMR=0.045) olarak bulunmuştur. İç güvenirlik katsayıları Oyun Etkileşimi (?=.72), Oyunun Bozulması (?=.75) ve Oyundan Kopma (?=.68) olarak bulunmuştur. Ayrıca ölçeğin öğretmen tarafından değerlendirilen sosyal gelişim ve biliş temelli problem davranış ölçekleriyle korelasyon göstermesi ölçeğin geçerlilik ve genelle bilinirliğini göstermiştir. Sonuç: Bu analizler doğrultusunda Penn Etkileşimli Akran Oyun Ölçeği-Ebeveyn Formunun, geçerli, güvenilir ve Türk çocuklarına uygun olduğu kabul edilmiştir

RELIABILITY AND VALIDITY STUDY OF PENN INTERACTIVE PEER PLAY SCALE-PARENT FORM (PIPPS-P)

Aim: The aim of this study is to adapt Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale-Parent Form, which was developed by Fantuzzo, Mendez and Tighe (1998) to Turkish and conduct the reliability and validity analyses. Instrument-Method: Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale is a scale with 32 items and 3 subdimensions which is designed to help parents and teachers understand the peer play behaviors in early childhood settings. The data were collected from the parents of 442 children with an average of 60.38 (SS=9.98) who are of upper and middle SES. Firstly, Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale-Parent Form was adapted to Turkish language and culture. The validity of the scale was measured with Confirmatory Factor Analysis, the correlations between subscales and the difference between the Upper %27/Lower %27. The internal reliability of the scale was calculated by Cronbach's alpha method. Besides this, the predictive validity of the scale compared to the other scales was also probed. Findings: The results of the Confirmatory Factor Analyses showed that the scale has a three-factor structure as in the original version, which are Play SRMR=0.05), RMSEA=0.059, SRMR=0.043), and Play Disconnection (χ2(34)= 81.715, CFI=0.892, RMSEA=0.056, SRMR=0.045). The internal reliability coeffiecients were found α=.72, α=.75 and α=.68 for Play Interaction, Play Disruption and Play Disconnection, respectively. Moreover, the correlation found between this version and the social development and cognition based problem behavior scales which are rated by the teachers showed that the scale is valid and generalizable. Conclusion: The analyses showed that Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale-Parent Form is a valid, reliable and appropriate tool for Turkish children
