STRESS FACTORS IN SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
Before being a word used to defining the situations related to human and animal, the terms stress had been used in physics and engineering sciences. In 14. Century stress is used in the meaning of the difficulties faced in life, misfortune and challenges, but in 17. Century it is considered in physiological sciences. In this field, stress means a human and his mental power or the strenght, pressure or force towards his body. There are usually two different views in stress definitions. The first is the definitions that reveal the relationship between the person and his environment. The second is the definitions that act in terms of the response of the organism to any external request or influence (cited in Beehr, Newmen, 1978). There are eight fundamental stress models. Six of them were developed by researchers using their models as a guide in their studies. Two of them consisted of forms, including examination of many medical and psychiatric of the responses of the individuals under heavy pressure. Stress factors are defined as all factors that cause stress reactions in the organism, regardless of origin. Stress factors can be varied, such as physiological, biological, psychological, social events and life events. Life events constitute an important part of stress factors. Life events constitute an important part of stress factors. Although such researches have been carried out in our big cities such as Ankara, Izmir and Istanbul, we believe that such research has not been carried out in other provinces. In line with the findings of this study, it was tried to make a contribution toliterature, but also to determine the situation in Van, which is a more developed city compared to other provinces in eastern Anatolia.
