ASSESSMENT OF 1999-2013 SBS-OKS EXAM QUESTIONS IN THE AXIS OF MATHEMATICS LITERACY IN TERMS OF CONTENT AND CONTEXT
The measurement and evaluation of the key components of education and instruction has the effects of designer and modifier. In particular it is undeniable that at the national level, the content and context of the math questions asked in the exams for high school have a larger and more comprehensive impact on the mathematics education. Therefore, all stages of testing and assessment activities of mathematics teaching based on the context are of critical value. The aim of this study is to examine math questions in OKS-SBS exams which were implemented in our country between the 1998-2013 years regarding individual, social, professional, scientific categories representing real life by PISA and learning domains placed in the primary school mathematics curriculum. In this study, data were collected using document analysis techniques of qualitative research. 375 exam questions located in the aforementioned exams were examined by the criteria related to real life. The distribution of the questions according to years was calculated as frequency and percentage. When the frequencies and percentages were analyzed, math questions asked in 2009-2013 and 1998-2008 years were identified to be significantly different in terms of real life contexts. While the rate of math questions related to real life asked in the exams in 19982008 is 35%, in 2009-2013 years this rate is 61% which is almost twofold compared to the previous years. In the first years a large proportion of the questions involve numbers and operations learning domain and individual context; however, in the next years the questions have spread to all areas of learning domains and the questions asked in the social, professional and scientific context have increased
