Two new flat mite species of Aegyptobia and Pentamerismus (Acari: Tenuipalpidae) from Saudi Arabia
Two flat mite genera, Aegyptobia Sayed and Pentamerismus McGregor (Acari: Tenuipalpidae), are reported for the first time from Saudi Arabia based on 2 new species, Aegyptobia arabica sp. nov. and Pentamerismus bahaensis sp. nov. Specimens of A. arabica and P. bahaensis were collected from Hammada sp. (Amaranthaceae) and Thuja occidentalis L. (Cupressaceae), respectively. In addition, Aegyptobia tragardhi Sayed is recorded from Saudi Arabia for the first time.
