Diyarbakır il sınırları içerisinde toplanan 26 Meriones tristrami Thomas, 1892 örneğinin morfolojik özellikleri üzerinde çalışıldı. Morfolojik karakterler ve bunlara ait ölçüler literatür bilgileri ile karşılaştırıldı. Sonuçlar Diyarbakır il sınırları içerisinde Meriones tristrami Thomas. 1892 türünün yaşadığını göstermektedir. Örnekler Dicle Üniversitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi Biyoloji Bölümünde korunmaktadır.

Twenty-six animals of the species Meriones tristrami Thomas, 1892 were studied morphologically. The animals were collected province of Diyarbakir-Turkey. The specimens were studied in respect to thier morphological characteristics in detail. The data obtained from the specimens were compared with the results of the previous studies. Results shows that the samples are Meriones tristrami Thomas, 1892 which are living Diyarbakır province, in Turkey. Skins and skulls have been deposited at the Dicle University, Science & Art Faculty, Biology Department.
