The effects of isofluran on cardiac performance in dogs with experimental acute hemorrhagic anemia (AHA) were inves-tigated. A local anesthetic agent was administered to dogs in the control group (=2) and isofluran to dogs in the experimental group (n=6). Left ventricle systolic and diastolic blood pressure with filling and ejection time before and 15 min after AHA were deter-mined in all dogs.
