Üniversite Öğrencilerinde Alkol Kullanma Nedenleri ile KAygı Duyarlılığı Arasındaki İlişki

Alkol kullanımında güdülenme modeline göre içme davranışı amaca yönelik bir süreçtir ve kişiler alkol kullandıkları zaman istedikleri amaca ulaşacakları beklentisi içindedirler. Bu modele göre içme nedenleri "Sosyalleşme, Başa çıkma, Eğlenme ve Uyum sağlama" olmak üzere dört kategori ile açıklanabilir. İçme nedenleri ile arasında ilişki olduğu belirlenen kişilik özelliklerinden bir tanesi "kaygı duyarlılığı "dır (KD). KD, kişinin yaşayacağı kaygı belirtilerinin hastalanmaya ya da daha fazla kaygıya neden olacağı inancını içerir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, alkol kullanan üniversite öğrencilerinde içme nedenleri ile KD arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Araştırmaya, 411 (225 kadın ve 186 erkek) üniversite öğrencisi katılmıştır ve öğrencilerin 313 'ü (177 kadın ve 136 erkek) alkol kullandıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Araştırmada katılımcılara Kaygı Duyarlılık İndeksi Gözden Geçirilmiş Formu, Alkol Kullanım Bozuklukları Tanıma Testi, İçme Nedenleri Anketi Gözden Geçirilmiş Formu ve Demografik Bilgi Formu uygulanmıştır. ANOVA sonucunda, yüksek KD'si olan öğrencilerin orta ve düşük KD 'si olan öğrencilere göre daha fazla başa çıkma, uyum sağlama ve sosyalleşme nedenleri ile alkol kullandıkları bulunmuştur. Hiyerarşik regresyon analizi sonucunda ise, sosyalleşme nedeniyle alkol kullanmayı sosyal ortamlarda fark edilebilen kaygı belirtilerinden korkma, uyum sağlama nedeniyle alkol kullanmayı sosyal ortamlarda fark edilebilen kaygı belirtilerinden korkma ve bilişsel kontrolü kaybetmekten korkma değişkenleri anlamlı olarak yordamıştır. Çalışmanın sonuçları literatürdeki bulgular bağlamında tartışılmıştır.
