Anneden Algılanan Kontrolün Niteliği ile Ergenin Psikososyal Uyumu ve Arkadaşlıkları Arasındaki İlişkiler: Benlik Değerinin Aracı Rolü

Bu araştırma, annenin davranışsal ve psikolojik kontrolü ile ergenin arkadaşlıkları, psikososyal ve akademik uyumu arasındaki doğrudan ilişkileri ve benlik değerinin aracı rolünü bir model önerisiyle incelemektedir. Katılımcılar orta SED’den gelen 7-10. sınıflarda okumakta olan toplam 409 ergendir (200’ü kız, 209’ü erkek). Ergenlerin yaş ranjı 12-18 arasında olup, yaş ortalaması 14.61’dir. Araştırmada, Saldırganlık ve Olumlu Sosyal Davranış, Yalnızlık ve Sosyal Doyum, UCLA Yalnızlık, Ergenler İçin Benlik Algısı, Davranışsal Kontrol, Psikolojik Kontrol, Sapkın Arkadaş ve Olumlu Sosyal Arkadaş ölçekleri kullanılmıştır. İlişki örüntülerinin farklılaşması nedeniyle kız ve erkekler için ayrı ayrı sınanan yapısal eşitlik modelleri sonucunda hem kızlarda hem de erkeklerde davranışsal kontrolün benlik değerini arttırdığı, buna karşı psikolojik kontrolün benlik değeriyle ilişkili olmadığı, ayrıca davranışsal ve psikolojik kontrolün cinsiyete göre olumlu ve olumsuz sonuç değişkenlerle gösterdiği ilişki örüntüsünün farklılaştığı görül-müştür. Kızların, algıladığı psikolojik kontrol arttıkça hem içselleştirme hem de dışsallaştırma davranış problemleri-nin arttığı, daha fazla sapkın arkadaşlara sahip oldukları, erkeklerin ise sadece dışsallaştırma davranış problemlerinin arttığı ve daha fazla sapkın arkadaşlara sahip oldukları bulunmuştur. Algılanan davranışsal kontrol arttıkça kızlarda algılanan okul başarısının arttığı; erkeklerde de içselleştirme ve dışsallaştırma davranış problemlerinin azaldığı, sapkın arkadaşlara daha az; olumlu özellikleri olan arkadaşlara daha çok sahip oldukları görülmüştür. Araştırma bulguları, annenin uyguladığı kontrolün niteliği ve kültürel bulgular çerçevesinde tartışılmıştır.
