FEN BİLGİSİ ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ BİLİMSEL BİLGİ VE YÖNTEM ALGILARI

Bu araştırmada Fen Bilgisi öğretmen adaylarının bilimsel bilgi ve yöntem algılarının bazı kavramsal yapılar etrafında yorumlanabilmesi amaçlanmıştır. 70 kişilik öğretmen adayı grubuyla yürütülen araştırmada, açık uçlu sorulara verilen yazılı cevaplar ve grup içinden rasgele seçilen 10 öğretmen adayıyla yapılan mülakatlar veri kaynağı olarak kullanılmıştır. Ulaşılan veriler açık kodlama tekniğiyle analiz edilmiş ve belirlenen kategoriler ve kavramsal yapılar etrafında savlar oluşturularak algılar yorumlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Oluşturulan savlar, öğretmen adaylarının bilimsel bilgiye yaklaşımlarının realist anlayışla uyumlu olduğunun ve doğru bilgiye götürecek belirli basamakları olan bir bilimsel yöntemin varlığına inandıklarının işaretlerini içermiştir. Araştırmanın son bölümünde bu savlar doğrultusunda geliştirilmiş uygulanabilir, basit önerilere yer verilmiştir.

PROSPECTIVE SCIENCE TEACHERS’ CONCEPTIONS ABOUT SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND METHOD

In this research, it was aimed at interpreting the prospective science teachers’ conceptions about scientific knowledge and scientific method. The participants were 70 Prospective science teachers; and data were collected through open ended questions and interviews with 10 participants. The data were analyzed qualitatively by open coding technique and the conceptions were interpreted in terms of determined categories and conceptual constructions. The findings consisted of some indicators that conceptions about scientific knowledge were in harmony with realist perspective and also prospective science teachers believed in the existence of a scientific method to be followed for achieving true knowledge. At the end, some simple and applicable suggestions were given.
