Ergenlerde Sosyal Görünüş Kaygısı, Mükemmeliyetçilik ve Benlik Saygısı İlişkisinin İncelenmesi

Bu araştırmada ergenlerde, sosyal görünüş kaygısı, mükemmeliyetçilik ve benlik saygısı arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra benlik saygısının, mükemmeliyetçilik ve sosyal görünüş kaygısına aracı değişken rolü test edilmiştir. Çalışmaya Ankara ve Mersin’de ikamet eden 14-18 yaşları arasındaki 274 liseye giden ergen katılmıştır. Katılımcılara “Sosyal Görünüş Kaygısı Ölçeği (SGKÖ), Coopersmith Benlik Saygısı Envanteri (CSEI), Çok Boyutlu Mükemmeliyetçilik Ölçeği (ÇBMÖ) ve Demografik Bilgi Formu” uygulanmıştır. Veriler korelasyon ve regresyon analizi yapılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Regresyon analizine göre, ergenlerin benlik saygısının, sosyal görünüş kaygısı ve mükemmeliyetçilik arasında kısmi değişken rolü üstlendiği ortaya çıkmıştır. Bulgular, ilgili alan yazında yer alan sonuçları büyük ölçüde desteklemesinin yanı sıra yeni bulgular da ortaya koymuştur. Buna göre ergenlerde benlik saygısı düştükçe, bireyin sosyal görünüş kaygısının ve mükemmeliyetçiliğinin arttığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu sonucun özellikle ergenlerle çalışan uzmanlar ve aileler için değerli olacağı düşünülmektedir.
