ET ÖZET ÖZET Bu çalışma, Türk Çocuk Edebiyatı’na kuramsal bir yapı oluşturmak amacıyla halk bilimci Pertev Naili Boratav tarafından derlenen “Az Gittik Uz Gittik” adlı eser- deki “Dünya Güzeli” masalının gösterge bilimsel açıdan çözümlenmesini içer- mektedir. Çalışmanın bir diğer amacı ise gelişim sürecinde olan Türk Çocuk Ede- biyatı’na kuramsal açıdan daha meşru bir zemin kazandırmak ve çocuk edebiyatı eserlerinin anlatımcılık, yapısalcılık, metinlerarasılık, alımlama estetiği, psikana- litik vb. kuramlar çerçevesinde incelenmelerine temel hazırlamaktır. Bununla birlikte, çalışmada metnin derin anlamını yüzeye çıkarabilmek için kesitleme yöntemiyle söylemsel ve anlatısal düzeylerin ortaya çıkarılmaları amaçlanmakta- dır. İlk olarak, masal eylem bakımından beş kesite ayrılmıştır. Ancak tekrarlarla yapılandırılması nedeniyle üçüncü kesit kendi içinde beş alt kesite ayrılmış ve her bir alt kesit diğer kesitlerle ilişkilendirilmiştir. İkinci olarak, anlamsal karşıt- lıklar değerlendirilmiş; üçüncü aşamada eyleyenlerin işlevleri belirlenmiş; dör- düncü aşamada ise anlatı izlencesi ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Sonuç olarak anlatı ve söylem yapılarının masal içindeki işlevleri gösterge bilimsel kavramlar aracılığıy- la çözümlenmiştir

This study is an analysis of the tale “Dünya Güzeli” containing in the book “Az Gittik Uz Gittik”, which was compiled by the folklorist Pertev Naili Boratav for the improvement of Turkish children literature theoretically, in terms of semiotics. Another purpose of this study is to posit a more theoretical ground for the Turkish children literature which is gradually developing and additionally, to prepare a diverse theoretical ground for the analysis of other children literature texts in terms of narratology, structuralism, intertextuality, reader response and psychoanalytic approaches, etc. Furthermore, to reach the deep meaning of the text, it is aimed to present the relationship between narrative level and discourse level by the use of sectionalisation method. In this study, firstly, the tale is sectionalized into five main sections according to the action. But the third section is sectionalized into five other subsections which are structured with the repetitions and those subsections are interrelated with other sections. Secondly, the binary oppositions in the basic semantic structure are evaluated. In the third phase, the functions of the actants are defined and, in the fourth phase, narrative semiotics is determined. Consequently, the functions of narrative structures and discourse structures in the tale are presented by a terminology of semiotic analysis.
