Bu çalışmada, Richard Strauss ve en gözde eserlerinden biri olan; Miguel de Cervantes’in romanından esinlenerek yazmış bulunduğu “Don Kişot, Bir Şövalye Üzerine Fantastik Çeşitlemeler Op.35” isimli çalışması hakkında genel bilgi ve yaratmış olduğu çağdaş formdaki müziği anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır
