İZMİR ARKEOLOJİ MÜZESİ'NDEKİ 2724 NUMARALI KLAZOMENAİ LAHİTİ

Bu çalışmanın konusunu İzmir Arkeoloji Müzesi'nde korunan 2724 envanter numaralı pişmiş toprak Klazomenai lahitinin stilistik ve kronolojik değerlendirmesi oluşturmaktadır. Söz konusu lahit nispeten iyi bir korunma durumuna sahip olduğu için bu eseri boyayan ressamın stili hakkında detaylı gözlemler yapabilmek mümkün olmuştur. 2724 envanter numaralı Klazomenai lahiti stil açısından Klazomenai lahit ressamlarından Dennis ve Hanover Ressamları ile ve özellikle de Klazomenai lahit gruplarından Albertinum Grubu Öncülleri ile yakın ilişki içerisindedir. Lahitin diğer eserlerle karışlaştırması sonucunda büyük olasılıkla M.Ö. 530-520/10 yılları civarında üretilmiş olduğu öne sürülmüştür.

KLAZOMENIAN SARCOPHAGUS IN IZMIR ARCHAEOLOGY MUSEUM UNDER INVENTORY NUMBER 2724

This study aims to assess a terracotta Klazomenian sarcophagus, which is kept in İzmir Archaeology Museum under inventory number 2724, in terms of style and chronology. Since the sarcophagus is in somewhat good condition of preservation it could be possible to make detailed observations on its painting as well as style. This terracotta sarcophagus shows close affinities with Hanover and Dennis Painters of Klazomenian sarcophagi and particularly with the Pioneers of Albertinum Group. Following the stylistic analysis with comparable finds, it is dated to 530-520/10 B.C.
