Anti-Oppressıve Practıce In Socıal Work An emancipatory practice on the basis of social justice paradigm

Anti-oppressive practice in social work challenges not only conventional social work models but also every kind of inequity. It is a general practice framework which embraces radical, structural, feminist, anti-racist social work approaches and movements whose main objective is the emancipation of marginalized and oppressed clients. It declines regarding the problems faced by clients as individual problems, and aims to evaluate them in wider societal, political contexts and to eradicate all forms of structural oppression. This article puts forth and discusses the theoretical framework of anti-oppressive practice which claims to transform social work to a practice that serves social justice as Us Central mission.
