NIKLAS LUHMANN’IN SİSTEM TEORİSİ VE TEORİNİN SOSYAL HİZMET DİSİPLİNİNDEKİ YANSIMALARI

Sistem teorisi bireyi ve toplumu anlamanın önemli araçlarından birisidir. Bu açıdan bakıldığında odağında insanı barındıran ve insanın iyilik halini artırmaya yönelik mesleki çalışmalar yapan sosyal hizmet disiplini için sistem teorisini anlamak ve uygulamak önem taşımaktadır. Bu makalenin amacı da Alman sosyolog Niklas Luhmann’ın geliştirdiği sistem teorisinin kavramlarını tanımak ve sosyal hizmet disiplinine yansımaları üzerine düşündürmektir. Luhmann’ın geliştirdiği sistem geliştirdiği sistem teorisindeki en önemli kavramlardan birisi, kendini yeniden üretme anlamına gelen autopoiesis kavramıdır. Bununla birlikte Luhmann modern toplumun bilim, hukuk, eğitim, ekonomik, siyaset, sanat gibi işlev sistemlerinden oluştuğunu ve bu işlev sistemlerine özgü iletişim kodlarının olduğunu vurgulamaktadır. Literatürde de sosyal hizmetin bir işlev sistemi olduğu ve iletişim kodunun yardım etme/yardım etmeme, işlevinin de içerme olduğu ifade edilmektedir. Bu bağlamda Luhmann’ın sistem teorisi sosyal hizmet disiplininde yeni bir bakış açısı sunmaktadır.

NICKLAS LUHMANN’S SYSTEM THEORY AND ITS REFLECTİONS ON SOCIAL WORK DISCIPLINE

System theory one of the important tools to understand the individual and society. Thus, it is important to understand and practice the system theory for the social work discipline which focus on indivuals and makes professional interventions to improve human well-beings. The purpose of this article is to recognize the concepts of the system theory developed by German sociologist Niklas Luhmann and to think on its reflection to the social work discipline. One of the most important concepts in system theory that developed by Luhmann is autopoiesis which means reproducing itself. On the other hand, Luhmann emphasizes that modern society consists of function systems which have specific communication codes such as science, law, economy, politics, art. In the literature it is expressed that social work is a function system with the communication code of helping/not helping and its function is inclusion. In this sense, Luhmann’s system theory presents a new perspective to social work discipline.
