New technology for production of leather for gloves and fancy goods

The results of the development of chromium saving method for obtaining of glove-haberdashery leather, allowing to improve the quality of leather and to provide the ecological safety of production, are presented in the paper. Leather tanning with ecologically harmless tannages under proper parameters and consumption of chemical materials has been carried out in semi-production conditions. The improvement of glove-haberdashery leather quality had been achieved by partial replacement of chromium by complex compounds, containing titanium and aluminum. Physical and mechanical properties of glove-haberdashery ecologically harmless leathers corresponded the standard norms and can be recommended for production of men’s and women’s gloves.
