GOETHE'NİN "GENÇ WERTHER'İN ACILARI" ADLI ESERİNİN ÇEVİRİLERİNDE CİNSİYETE BAĞLI DİL KULLANIMININ KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI

Bu çalışmada Johann Wolfgang von Goethe'nin "Genç Werther'in Acıları" adlı romanındaki "21 Haziran" başlıklı mektubu çeviribilimsel açıdan ve çevirmenlerin cinsiyetleriyle ilişkili olarak incelenmiştir. Romanı Türkçeye çeviren Mahmure Kahraman ve Nihat Ülner'in çevirileri üzerinden cinsiyete bağlı dil kullanımının varlığı gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu bağlamda, çevirmenlerin metinlerinde gözlemlediğimiz aktarım farklılıkları bir tablo yardımı ile örneklendirilmiştir. Bu farklılıklar ile çevirmenin cinsiyeti ve yetiştiği kültür arasında ne tür bir ilişki olduğu irdelenmiştir. Karşılaştırmaya geçilmeden önce edebi çeviri ve onu gerçekleştiren çevirmenden bahsedilmiştir. Daha sonra cinsiyet tanımı ve kadınerkek psikolojisi hakkında bilgi verilmiş"Genç Werther'in Acıları" adlı kitap, kitabın yazarı ve erek metinlerin yazarları hakkında değerlendirme yapılmıştır.

Comparison of Gender Related Language Usage in the Translations ofGoethe's "the Sorrows of Young Werther''

In this study the letter "21th June" from "The Sorrows of Young Werther" of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was studied in terms of translation studies and in relation to the genders of the translators. It was tried to show the gender related language usage of the translators, Mahmure Kahraman and Nihat Ülner who translated the work into Turkish. In this context the differences of the translators intheir translations were exemplified with a table. The kind of the relation between these differences and the gender of the translators and the culture they grew up in was examined. Before the comparison the literary translation and the literary translator were mentioned. After this, information about the gender definition and the female/male psychology were given. Then it was made an evaluation of the work "The Sorrows of Young Werther", and of the author and the translators of this work.
