İKİNCİ DÜNYA SAVAŞI’NDA KIRIM YARIMADASI’NA DÜZENLENEN HAREKÂTLAR VE KIRIM’IN STRATEJİK DEĞERİ

İkinci Dünya Savaşı tüm Avrupa kıtasına yayılmış ve böylece Avrupa’nın farklı bölgelerindeki birçok nokta, stratejik önemiyle ön plana çıkmıştır. Bu noktalar sadece harekâtların düzenlenmesinde değil, siyasi hesaplamalara da etki etmiştir. Kırım da bu bölgelerden bir tanesidir. Hitler’in buraya özellikle önem vermesi; hem Kafkasya’daki petrol yataklarına ulaşmak, hem Rusların Karadeniz’e hâkim olmalarını engellemek hem de Türkiye’ye diplomatik baskı yapabilmek için burayı elde tutmak içindi. Dolayısıyla, yarımadanın zaptı için 1941 Ekim’inde Almanlar tarafından harekât başlatıldı. Oldukça çetin geçen çarpışmalar, ancak 1942 Temmuz’unda sonuçlandı. Bu sayede Almanlar Kafkasya’ya sokulmayı başardılar ve aynı zamanda Türkiye üzerindeki siyasi baskıları da doruğa ulaştı. Ancak Almanların Doğu Cephesi’nde önce Stalingrad’da, ardından da Kursk’ta gerilemeye başlamaları sonucunda, Kırım 1943 Kasım’ında Sovyet orduları tarafından kuşatıldı. Bu sefer Almanlar yarımadayı savunmak için çetin bir direniş sergilediler. 1944 Mayıs’ında Kırım yeniden Sovyet birliklerinin eline geçti. Kırım’ın her iki tarafça bırakılmak istenmemesinin askeri ve siyasi nedenleri vardı. Konumu ve coğrafyası sayesinde hem Doğu Cephesi’nin güney kesiminin hem de Karadeniz’in güvenliğinin sağlanması açısından önemli bir role sahip olan yarımada, aynı zamanda yakın bölgesinde saldırı inisiyatifinin sağlanmasına da etki ediyordu. Bu araştırmada Kırım’daki harekâtlar kronolojik anlatımla ele alınarak, olayların ve konunun geneli analiz edilmektedir.

OPERATIONS TO THE CRIMEAN PENINSULA DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR AND STRATEGIC SIGNIFICANCE OF THE CRIMEA

Second World War spread over Europe, and many points in different regions of Europe, came into prominence, strategically. Those points had impact on not only the conduction of operations, but also the political calculations. Crimea was also such that region. Hitler was giving particular importance here was for, both to reach Caucasian oil reserves, and to constrain the Russians from Black Sea superiority, and to hold here for diplomatic pressure on Turkey. Therefore, Germans launched an operation to conquest the peninsula. Combats were quiet stiff, ended up as late as July, 1942. Thus Germans succeeded in nestling the Caucasus, at the same time, their political pressure on Turkey peaked. However, Germans regression began first in Stalingrad and then in Kursk, resulted Crimea was sealed by the Soviet armies in November, 1943. This time the Germans were to defend the peninsula, exhibited stiff resistance. In May, 1944, Crimea was in Soviet hands again. There were military and political reasons, of the Crimea rejected to abandon of both sides. In virtue of its location and geography, the peninsula had a role to ensure security of both the southern part of the East Front and the Black Sea, was also affecting having initiative to attack the zone of interior. In this research, after the operations in Crimea given, both the events and the subject are analyzed.
