Bu araştırma iki farklı branştaki (taekwondo-yüzme) bayan sporcular üzerinde, Dindarlık Boyutlarını Ölçmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Branşlara özel dindarlık boyutu araştırması, sporcularda şimdiye kadar uygulanmamıştır. Farklı grupların dindarlık boyutu araştırmaları toplum yapısının dindarlık boyutunu belirlemede çok kullanılmıştır. Spor, toplum yapısının en üst belirgenleri arasında yer alırken, toplumsal kurum olma özelliğinin yanında, toplumdaki spor yapısının da dindarlık boyutu önem kazanmaktadır. Çünkü toplumbilimsel araştırmalarda yer alan sporun, toplumsal boyutunda sporculardaki dindarlık boyutu da, diğer toplumsal kurumlardaki bireyler kadar, bilinmesi gereken bir olgudur. Bu araştırmada, varolan bir durum tespiti yapmak ilk amaçtır. Çıkan sonuçlara öneri bilinçli olarak geliştirilmemiştir. Çünkü dine inanmak veya inanmamak bireyin kendi iç hesaplaşması, toplumun ise en hassas konusudur. Böyle bir konuda araştırma yapmak sporcular üzerinde ilk olması nedeniyle hem önemli hem de çok hassastır. Bundan sonraki çalışmalara bir ilk ve öncü olma görevi de üstlenen bu çalışmada, 1995 yılında Veysel Uysal tarafından gerçekleştirilen ve geliştirilen İslami Dindarlık Ölçeği (Islamic Religion Scale) kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya 50 taekwondo, 50 yüzme bayan sporcusu olmak üzere toplam 100 sporcu katılmıştır. Sporcular milli olmuş veya milli takım düzeyindeki sporculardır. This study has been researched on the female athletics of two different branches (taewondo _ swimming), to measure the level of religiosity. İnvestigation of the religiosity level related to the branches, on sportsmen have not been applied yet. Dimension of the piety of different groups have been used for many times to determine the religiosity level of society structure. While the sport takes place on the topest qualifier of the srtucture of society,beside its exception of being social corporation, the religiosity of level of its sportial structure also takes importance. Because, the piety level on athletics in social level and even as the individulas in the other social corporations of the sport which takes place on sociological investigations, is the fact that must be known. In this investigation, to make the insisting situation determination is the first aim. The suggestion to the final results have not been proved consciously. Because to belive in the religion or not is the inside deal of an individual,but it is a most sensitive topic of the society. Researching on such a subject is both important and even so sensitive becausef of it is the first on the athletics.In 1995, the Islamic Religion Scale, realized and improved by Veysel Uysal was used in this study which is a first to the lattern studies and taked on a misson of being advanced courier. 100 sportsmen of total, as being 50 taekwondo, 50 swimming female athletics have joined to the investigation(study). The sportsmen are the athletics who have been nationalistic or are on the statue of national team. Results of the research have been interpretted as being determined, with Z test which was done according to the comparing of the rates and showing the frequency. The investigation group is with an intensity of 12 &#8211; 17 age groups.(it is important on the level of p<0,05 ).At the conclusion of the research; the taekwondo sportsmen have been found to be the student at he secondary school for the training of islamic religious personel in a part of their lives.(it is important on the level of p<0,05). Hence, swimming sportsmen have studied at the collage or private schools.( it is important on the level of p<0,01). The borning places of the research group is with an intensity of big cities.( it is important on the level of p<0,05). Educational statue of the families of the swimming sportsmen is beter than the families of taekwondo sportsmen.(it is important on the level of p<0,001). The mother is housewife and the father is on the free work group in the occupation groups of the families.(it is important on the level of p<0,01). In the case of monthly income swimmers are beter than the taekwondo ones.( it is important on the level of p<0,05).taekwondo sportsmen are more religious according to the swim athletics.(it is important on the level of p<0,05).
