Türk Toplumunda Çingene İmgesi ve Önyargısı
Çalışma kollektif bilinç ve önyargılar bağlamında Türk toplumundaki Çingene imgesi ve önyargısını irdelemektedir. Bu perspektif içerisinde çalışmanın esas amacı, Çingeneler hakkındaki önyargı ve imgeleri göstermek ve bunları yeniden düşünmeye davet etmektir. Çalışmanın sorgu alanının cevaplandırılmasında üç aşamalı bir süreç izlenmiştir. Bunlardan birincisi, 1870 yılından günümüze yayımlanan ve Çingeneleri konu edinen Türkçe eserlerdeki Çingene imgesi ve tanımlamalarıdır. İkinci olarak, anonim olarak derlenen; söylence, fıkra, günlük dildeki örnekler ve tanımlamalardır. Son olarak da, üniversite öğrencilerinde Çingene İmgesinin belirlenmesine yönelik olarak, Ege Üniversitesi Sosyoloji Bölümü üçüncü ve dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerine uygulanan Çağrışım Burcu çalışmasıdır.
This study examines the Gypsy image and prejudice in Turkish society in terms of collective consciousness and prejudices. Within the scope of this context, the essential aim of this study is to display the images and prejudices about Gypsies, who constitute a certain part of society, and to provide a platform for the reconsideration of these facts. A process with three steps was pursued while answering the questions in the study. The first step is the Attribute Constellation applied to the 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students at the Department of Sociology in Ege University; the second one comprises the research carried out on the Gypsy image and definitions in Turkish novels on Gypsies, which have been published since 1870. The final step displays the Gypsy image and definitions in Turkish daily language, legends and anecdotes, which have been compiled anonymously.
