Employee Involvement and Quality Circles in Total Quality Management: A Critical Evaluation

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of 'employee involvement' and 'quality circles' on employees, which are typical practises of total quality management, from the point of a critical perspective point of view. The data supporting this evaluation are obtained from the case study which was performed in a firm selected from the textile sector in 2001. In the related study, 50 cycle member employees selected within the active cycles in the firm were interviewed. An examination of the documents of the firm were used as reinforcing technique.
