The effects of rations containing different levels of white lupin ( Lupinus albus ) on fattening performance and carcass caharacteristics of japanese quails ( Coturnix coturnix japonica )
This study was canied out to determine the effects of diets containing different levels of white lupin (Lupinus albus) on fattening performance and carcass cliaracteristi.es of Japanese quails (Cotumix cotumix japonica), Experimental diets were prepared by replacing soybean ineai in basal diets with white lupin (Lupinus albus) at 0, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 % levels. So six different experimental diets, being isonitrogenic and isocaloric, were prepared and ased in the experimeHt (A,B,C,D,E and F rations). The experiment was canied out for 42 days period. "There were no significant differences between body weight, body weight gain and carcass weight dressing percentage, abdominal fat and liver weight of experimental groups (P>0.05). But there were significant differences in feed intake for 3th between 'the experimental groups and feed intake of F group was significantly higher than, etler groups (P<0,01), There were significant differences in feed efficiency for 1*', 2nd and 3* weeks of experiment between experimental groups (P<0.05 and ?<0,01) and feed efficiency of F group was significantly higher than the others (P<0.01),
