Powdery mildew diseases of tomato

Tomato powdery mildew in Turkey is caused by a fungus named as Leveillula taurica. This pathogen, having many hosts, has recently been causing economically important damage on tomato productions. This fungus has various biotypes and they infect different plant species. Two additional powdery mildew species have been described recently and they are being distributed quickly. These powdery mildew species were described as Oidium lycopersici and Oidium neolycopersici.
