Annie Ernaux’nun Les Années Adlı Romanında Yeni Bir Otobiyografi Biçimi: Kişisel Olmayan Otobiyografi

XXI. yüzyılın en meşhur kadın yazarlarından biri olarak tanınan Annie Ernaux, Les Années romanını yazarak çağının ve geçmişinin ortak sıkıntısını dile getirdi. Ernaux yalnızca hayatını anlatmayı değil aynı zamanda ait olduğu Fransız toplumunun tarihini genel hatlarıyla ele almayı amaçladı. Annie Ernaux 1940 yılında dünyaya geldiğinde, toplum, İkinci Dünya savaşının eşiğindeydi. Bu kaotik ortamda büyüyen Ernaux toplumdan, ailesinden ve çevresinden çok şey öğrendi. Ernaux dünyayı bir genç kız, bir anne, bir eş ve bir büyük anne olarak keşfetti. Sosyal ve ailevi deneyimleri onu çok olgunlaştırdı ve düşüncelerini kaleme almaya başladı. Anıları, otobiyografik yazılarının bir parçasını oluşturdu. Les Années eserinde, Annie Ernaux tüm toplumsal ve kişisel deneyimlerinden farklı biçimlerle faydalandı. Hayat hikâyesi ve toplum tarihi arasında ilişkiler kurmaya çalıştı. Ernaux, Les Années eserinde, kendi hayatından ziyade toplum hayatına önem verdi. Bu eserinde, ailevi ve kişisel fotoğraflar, film, video, reklam markaları, şarkılar, tablo, gazete notları aynı zamanda sosyolojik ve tarihsel olaylara yer vererek kendine özgü yazı teknikleri geliştirdi. Böylelikle yeni tarzda bir otobiyografi ortaya çıkardı: kişisel olmayan otobiyografi.

A New Form of Autobiography in Les Années of Annie Ernaux: Impersonal Autobiography

Annie Ernaux, considered one of the most famous women writers of XXI century, expressed the common anxiety of her age and her past by writing Les Années. She did not only aim to describe her life, but also to outline the history of the French society to which she belongs. When she came into the world in 1940, the world was on the brink of the Second World War. Being raised in this chaotic atmosphere, she learned a lot of things from her society, her family and her environment. Annie Ernaux discovered the world as a young girl, a mother, a wife and a grandmother. Her social and family experiences have greatly matured her and she started writing her thoughts. Her memories were part of her autobiographical writings. In Les Années, Annie Ernaux took advantage of all her personal and social experiences with different means. She tried to make connections between the story of her life and that of society. She gave importance to social life rather than her own life in Les Années. She developed her own writing techniques using the family and personal photos, a film, a video, advertising brands, songs, a painting, newspaper notes as well as sociological and historical events in her book. So she created a new form of autobiography: impersonal autobiography.
