Belisarius Tower

The Belisarius Tower in the city of Constantinopolis, which is describedwith contradictory statements by contemporary architectural historians, cannot be localized or identifi ed. More precisely, this tower is assumed tobe a bastion attached to the Marmara sea fortifi cations. This paper, which is based on a wider research on the engravings andmaps, intends to show that this tower wasn’t a bastion attached to theMarmara sea fortifi cations, but an independent tower rising out of the sea.
