Anadolu Selçuklu başkenti Konya’ya 1885 yılında Bağdat Demiryolu ulaşınca hem seyyahlar hem de teknik yenilikler şehre gelmeye başladı. 1895 yılında Garabet Kirkor Solakyan ile fotoğraf stüdyosu kuruldu. 1916 yılında fotoğrafhaneyi kalfası Hasan Behçet Bey’e devretti.Hasan Behçet Bey, 1943 yılında kayınbiraderi Turan Ersoy’u, 1943’de ağabeyi Ahmet Oğul’u yanına aldı. 1979 yılında ustalığa Yılmaz Oğul geçti. Foto Behçet stüdyo fotoğraflarını çok başarılı çekip, rötuşlayıp basarak Konya’nın en iyi fotoğrafhanesi unvanını kazanmıştır.  1990’larda dijital fotoğrafın yaygınlaşması ile 1996 yılında fotoğrafhane kapandı. 2013 yılında fotoğrafhanenin stüdyo makinesi, bazı aletleri ve zengin negatif arşivi Konya Büyükşehir Belediyesi tarafından satın alınarak Koyunoğlu Müzesi’nde sergilenmeye başlandı.

As Baghdad Railway reached to the capital of Anatolian Seljuks, Konya, in 1885, as well as pilgrims, technical innovations also began to come to the city. Photography studio was founded in 1895 by Garabed Kirkor Solakyan. In 1916 he handed over the studio to his foreman, Mr. Hasan Behçet. Hasan Behçet Bey took along brother in law, Turan Ersoy in 1943 and his brother's son, Ahmet Oğul in 1943. After his death in 1958, Ahmet Turan and Ahmet Oğul directed the studio. In 1979 Yılmaz Oğul became the master of the studio. By retouching and printing ways, Photo Behçet took very successful studio photographs, so he acquired the title of the best photography of Konya. During 1990s due to increase of digital photography, the photography closed down in 1996. In 2013 the studio camera, some tools and a rich archive of negatives of the photography studio were purchased by the Municipality of Konya; and displayed in the Museum of Koyunoğlu.
