Named as "On the Colour Concept in Painting" this study aims at handling the development and evaluation of colour concept from Renaissance up today. From pre-historical period to Ancient Egypt, from Ancient Egypt to Renaissance and Baroque from Baroqueto modern ages the colour concept has gained different dimensions. Influence of social and scientific developments, through the scope this study will be the period from Renaissance to modern ages. It is obvious that, the recent aproaches which are the result of the developments and evaluation that took place for centuries will be different in the future due to the cognition of these developments.
