Character Formation in Acting

The acting process is comprised of an interlocking trinitiy: the person, the actor, and the character. As a person, you have been cultivated over the years in response to your life experiences. As an actor you may have developed another set of behaviors that manifest themselves when you are actually performing. The actor is an extension of the person. While acting you may have heightened your physical and expressive behaviors. At the center of each character is the contribution of the actor and the fulfillment of the person.
