Yeme Bozukluklarında Özkıyım Davranışı

Yeme bozukluklarında özkıyıma bağlı ölüm oranları oldukça yüksektir. Yeme bozukluklarında özkıyıma bağlı kaba ölüm hızı %0 ile %5.3 arasında değişmektedir. Yeme bozukluklarında özkıyım davranışı ile ilişkili etmenler, yeme bozukluğunun alt tipi, ek tanıların varlığı, ilaç metabolizmasının hızlı olması, belli kişilik özellikleri, çocuklukta istismar öyküsü ve belli aile tutumlarıdır. Bu etmenler dışında depresif bozukluklar, alkol-madde kötüye kullanımı ve kişilik bozuklukları gibi diğer ruhsal bozuklukların bulunması da yeme bozukluklarında özkıyım riskini artırmaktadır. Bu yazıda yeme bozukluklarında özkıyım davranışı ve ile ilişkili etmenler kısaca gözden geçirilmiştir.

Suicidal Behavior in Eating Disorders

Suicide associated mortality rates are notable for eating disorders. Crude mortality rate associated with suicide, varies within %0 and %5.3 in eating disorder patients. Prominent risk factors for suicidal behavior among patients with eating disorder are subtype of the eating disorder, comorbid psychiatric diagnoses (e.g. depression, alcohol and substabce abuse, personality disorders), ultrarapid drug metabolism, history of childhood abuse and particular family dynamics. In this article, suicidal behavior and associated factors in eating disorders are briefly reviewed.
