Büyük değişimlerin yaşandığı, yeni değerlerin yükseldiği, geleceğin kestirilemediği dönemlerde, yeni bir yön çizecek liderlere ihtiyaç vardır. Bu değişim hızına, en çok uyum sağlayabilecek liderlik tarzı ise dönüşümcü liderliktir. Dönüşümcü lider, günlük örgütsel işlemlerin ötesinde idealleştirilmiş etki, telkinle güdüleme, entelektüel uyarım ve bireysel destek sağlama davranışlarını ve özelliklerini kendinde toplar. Bu araştırmada öğretmen algılarına göre, Endüstri Meslek Lisesi okul müdürlerinin dönüşümcü liderlik özelliklerine sahip olma düzeyleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada, öğretmenlerin kişisel özelliklerinin, dönüşümcü liderlik özelliklerine ilişkin algılarına etkisi araştırılmıştır. Örneklemde yer alan okullarda, araştırmanın amaçlarını gerçekleştirmek için öğretmen görüşleri, 39 maddeden oluşan anket ile tespit edilmiştir. Geliştirilen veri toplama aracında beşli likert tipi ölçek kullanılmıştır. Anketten elde edilen sonuçlar, değişkenlere göre “t” testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre; öğretmen algılarına göre, okul müdürleri dönüşümcü liderlik özelliklerini “ara sıra” göstermekte, dönüşümcü liderliğin idealleştirilmiş etki boyutundaki davranışları ise “çoğu zaman” göstermektedir. Ayrıca öğretmenlerin mesleki kıdem değişkenine göre, okul müdürlerinin idealleştirilmiş etki; cinsiyet değişkenine göre, entelektüel uyarım ve bireysel destek boyutlarına ilişkin değerlendirmeleri arasındaki farklar manidardır.

In the times when great changes are experienced, new values rise and in the times when nobody guess the future, we need leaders who can draw new ways. The leadership style which can best suit to this rapid changing is transformational laedership. A transformational laeder has all the beheaviours and characteristics of ‘charismatic effect’, ‘intellectual stimulation’, ‘insprational motivation’, ‘individual support. In this study teacher perceptions about industry occupational high school principals’ transformational laedership characteristics was tried to be determined. In the study, the effect of teachers’ individual characteristics to their perceptions about transformational leadership characteristics was researched. In the schools in the universe, in order to realize the aims of the research, the thoughts of teachers are determined with the help of questionnaire which contains 39 questions. In the developed information gathering tool, fivelikert scale is used. The results gained from the questionnaire is evaluated with T test and one way variance analysis, According to the results gained from the research; According to the teacher perceptions, the school principals sometimes show transformational leadership characteristics, and the school principals always show the beheaviours in the dimesion of charismatic effect from transformational leadership characteristics; Also according to the teachers’ occupational length of service, the differences between the thoughts of teachers about the dimesion of ‘charismatic effect’ is meaningful and according to the teachers’ sex variable, the differences between the thoughts of teachers about the dimesion of ‘intellectual stimulation’ and ‘individual support’ is meaningful
