Bu çalışmada, Malzeme Taşıma Sistemlerinde (MTS) taşınan değişik boyuttaki malzemelerin boyutlarının otomatik olarak tanınması ve istenilen yere tevzi edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Malzemenin boyutunu tanıma işlemi cisimden yansımalı, optik temassız algılayıcılar yardımıyla yapılmaktadır. MTS’ ne en uygun otomasyonun ne olduğuna cevap aranmıştır. MTS’ de önce bir sayısal devre ile malzemelerin boyutları tanınmış, sonra da Programlanabilir Mantık Denetleyicisi (PMD) kullanılarak malzemelerin boyutları tespit edilmiş ve boyutlarına göre de tevzi işlemi yapılmıştır. MTS’ nin girişinde malzemenin olup olmadığı optik alıcı-verici tip temassız algılayıcı ile tespit edilmektedir. MTS’ nin girişinde bir malzeme varsa sistem otomatik olarak çalışmaya başlamaktadır. Malzemenin boyutu tanındı ise; pnömatik pistonlar yardımıyla malzeme istenilen kısımlara dağıtılmaktadır. Boyutları tanınmayan malzemeler ise tanımsız kutusuna hatalı ürün olarak atılmaktadır.

In this study, the aim is automatic size recognizing of variant size products carried at Materials Handling Systems (MHS) and to distribute the products to the defined places. The process of product size recognition is conducted by the help of diffuse reflection photoelectric sensors. The most feasible automation system for MHS is sought. At MHS, firstly, an analog circuit defines the products sizes; later on product size is determined by using a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Product distribution is carried on regarding the determined sizes. A transmitter and receiver of the through-beam photoelectric sensor checks product existence at the entrance of MHS. If a product exists, the system starts automatically. When the size of product has been recognized, the product is distributed to the defined places by pneumatic pistons. The products classified as unrecognized are grouped into a box as faulty products
