Bu çalışmada sabit supap zamanlaması ile değişken supap zamanlamasının farklılıkları incelenmiştir. Bunu sağlayabilmek için değişken supap zamanlamasına sahip bir taşıt motorunun, motor üzerinde başka hiçbir değişiklik yapılmadan devre dışı bırakılması ile sabit supap zamanlaması elde edilmiş, değişken supap zamanlaması ve sabit supap zamanlamasının motor momentine, motor gücüne, tekerlek çıkış gücüne ve özgül yakıt tüketimine etkileri incelenmiştir. Deney sonuçları değişken supap zamanlamasının sabit supap zamanlamasına göre motor momenti, motor gücü, tekerlek çıkış gücü ve özgül yakıt tüketiminde iyileşme olduğunu göstermiştir.

In this research paper, the differences between the constant valve timing and variable valve timing (VVT) have been studuied. To obtain this, shutting down the VVT system, without any changing on the engine of a vehicle that has a variable valve timing, the engine that has a constant valve timing was obtained. In addition the effects of the constant valve timing and variable valve timing against to the engine torque, engine power, wheel output power and specific fuel consumption have been discussed. In the results of the experiment the variable valve timing has more good effects on the engine torgue, engine power, wheel output power and specific fuel consumption than constant valve timing have been showed
