Yangın, can ve mal güvenliğini tehdit eden en önemli olaylardan biri olmasına karşın, ülkemizde yangın güvenlik önlemlerine gereken önem verilmemektedir. Bu literatür araştırmasının amacı; Türkiye’de binalarda pasif yangın güvenlik önlemleri konusuna dikkat çekmektir. Bu makalede çalışmalar; uluslararası ve ulusal araştırmalar şeklinde sınıflandırılmıştır. Uluslararası araştırmalar; yangının aşamaları, flashover, backdraft, yapı malzemesi ölçeği, yapı elemanı ölçeği ve bina ölçeğinde alınan yangın güvenlik önlemleri gibi konu başlıklarında, ulusal araştırmalar ise pasif yangın güvenlik önlemleri konu başlığı altında incelenmiştir.

Although fire is one of the most important events which are threatening life and property safety, there are not givennecessary importance to the fire safety precautions in Turkey.
