Kaskad mide, midenin nadir görülen normal anatomik bir varyasyonudur. Bu anomalide fundus mide korpusunun arkasında ve altında yer alır. Kaskad midenin gastrointestinal sistem opaklı grafilerinde gastrik volvulusla benzerlik gösterdiği bildirilmiştir. Kliniğimize kusma şikayeti ile başvuran iki hastada kaskad mide tanısı konuldu. Hastalar konservatif tedaviye olumlu yanıt verdiler. Midenin, literatürde nadir olarak tanımlanan bu normal anatomik varyasyonunu hatırlatmak ve gastrik volvulusla karışabileceğim vurgulamak üzere iki olgu bildirildi.

Cascade stomach is an uncommon anatomic variation of the stomach. Here fundus lies below and behind the corpus of the stomach. This entity may show resemblance to volvulus on upper gastrointestinal series radiogram. Cascade stomach was detected in two infants who were admitted with the complaints of vomiting. Both patients responded to conservative treatment. Two infants with cascade stomach were presented to recall this uncommon normal anatomic variation of the stomach and to emphasize its role in the differential diagnosis of the gastric volvulus in infancy.
