Bu yazının amacı, Yüksek Öğretim Kurulu ( YÖK) / Dünya Bankası (WB) işbirliğiyle ve Milli Eğitimi Geliştirme Projesi (MEGP) kapsamında geliştirilen projede uygulanması öngörülen Öğretmenlik Deneyimi ve Öğretmenlik Uygulaması derslerine yönelik öğrenci görüşlerini irdelemektir. Araştırma D. E. Ü Buca Eğitim Fakültesi Sınıf Öğretmenliği Bölümünde 1996-1997 öğretim yılında okumakta olan 90 son sınıf öğrencisi üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen Likert tipi bir ölçekle öğrenci görüşleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Öğrencilerden elde edilen anketlerden 77’si geçerli sayılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler üzerinde SPSS paket programı kullanılarak istatistiki analizler (Ortalama, Standart sapma, Varyans analizi, t-testi, Mod, Medyan, Ranj vb.) yapılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre; öğrencilerin uygulamalara yönelik olumsuz görüşlere sahip olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Staj yapılan okullar açısından ise öğrenciler arasında anlamlı görüş farklılıkları görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin uygulamaya yönelik görüşlerinde cinsiyet açısından anlamlı farklılık bulunmamıştır. Anketin bölümlerine yönelik öğrenci görüşleri incelendiğinde; en olumsuz görüşlerin Deneme Kitapçığı’na olduğu görülmüştür. Öğretmenlik Uygulamasına ve Okul İdareci, Öğretmenlerine yönelik görüşler de olumsuz iken Okul Deneyimine ve Öğretim Elemanı’na yönelik görüşler olumlu olarak belirlenmiştir.

The purpose of this research is to examine students’ opinions about the courses “Teaching Observations” and “ Teaching Practices “ in the project of Developing National Education conducted by Higher Education Council (YÖK) and World Bank (WB). The research was conducted with 90 seniors in the Elementary School Teaching Department of Faculty of Education, Dokuz Eylül University, İzmir, Turkey in the 1996-1997 academic year. The students opinions were measured by a Likert- type scale developed by the researchers. Seventy- seven of the questionnaires returned by the students regarded valid. Various statistical analyses (mean, standard deviation, variance, t-test, mode, medium, range, etc) were made on the data using the SPSS package program. According to the information obtained through statistical analyses, students have negative opinions about the teaching practices. Students’ opinion about the schools where they went practicing vary significantly. Their opinions do not vary significantly in terms of their sexes. When their opinions in different parts of the questionnaire were analyzed, it was found out that they had the most negative ideas towards the Teaching Practice Guidebook. While their opinions about teaching practice, school administration and teachers were negative, they have got positive ideas about the teaching observations and the course instructors.
