Eğitimde verimliliği etkileyen en önemli etkenlerden birisi öğretmendir. Toplumun değerlerinin korunması, sürdürülmesi ve yeni değerlerin kazandırılmasında öğretmen en önemli öğedir. Eğitim fakültelerinde okuyan ve geleceğin öğretmenleri olacak olan öğrencilerin öğretmenlik mesleğini sevmeleri, mesleklerini başarıyla yürütebilmeleri için bir ön koşuldur. Buca Eğitim Fakültesi, Fizik Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı öğrencilerinin öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarını farklı değişkenlere göre incelemek amacıyla geliştirilen ölçek, Fizik 1,2,3,4,5. sınıf öğrencilerinden toplam 160 öğrenciye uygulanmış, veriler istatistiksel olarak değerlendirilerek farklı değişkenler (cinsiyet, öğrenim gördükleri sınıf düzeyi, üniversiteye giriş tercih sırası, mezun oldukları lise türü, ailelerinde öğretmen bulunup bulunmaması, anne ve babanın öğrenim durumları) açısından incelenmiş ve sonuçlar tartışılarak, öneriler sunulmuştur.

One of the most important factors which affects the efficiency of education is teacher. Teacher is the most important element for keeping and continuing the values of society and gaining the new values. Enjoying their career for prospective teachers is a pre-requisite for conducting their businees successfully. A questionaire about the attitudes of prospective physics teachers of Buca Faculty of Education towards teaching as a profession regarding various variables was developed. The questionaire was given total 160 students from junior to senior levels. The data were analysed statistically regarding students’ gender, class level, choice order for university entrance exam, type of high school they graduated from, having a teacher in their family and their parent’s academic background. Finally, some recomendations were discussed.
