1946 seçimlerinin tek dereceli olması ve seçimlere birden çok partinin katılması siyaset ve toplum ilişkisi açısından Türkiye’de köklü değişimlerin ortaya çıkmasına neden olmuştur. Bu seçimler sonucu siyasi sosyalleşme ve sosyal mobilizasyon açısından yeni bir durumun ortaya çıktığı görülmektedir. Seçimler toplumun siyasi bir aktör olarak ortaya çıkışının ilk işaretlerinden biri olarak da görülebilir. Seçimler baskı ve yasa dışı uygulamalarla gerçekleşmiş olsa dahi siyaset ve toplum ilişkisinin yeniden tanziminin kaçınılmaz bir ihtiyaç olduğunu göstermesi açısından önem arz etmektedir

Because of it is single-stage and multi-party system 1946 general elections caused fundemantel changes in relationship between politics and society in Turkey. As a result of this elections caused a new condition in terms of political socialization and social mobilization is seen. The elections could be seen one of the first signs of society’s emergence as a political actor. Though the elections voted under pressure and illegal applications it is important in showing flagrant necessity that re-arrangement the relationship between politics and society
