Kültürlerarası yeterliliğin kazanılmasında kültürel farklılık eğitimlerinin önemi

21. yüzyılda dünya vatandaşı olabilmenin önemli koşullarından birisi diğer kültürlerin farkına varmaya ve bu kültürleri anlamaya bağlıdır. Globalleşme ile birlikte yabancı sermayenin uluslararası dolaşım hızının artması, yerel ile uluslararası olanı karşı karşıya getirmiştir. Bu durumda kişilerarası etkileşimlerde kültürler arasındaki farklılıklar ön plana çıkmıştır. Zaman, dil, yemek alışkanlıkları, giyim biçimleri vb. unsurlar kültürel öğrenmelerle belirlendiği için, global ekonomide başarılı olmak isteyen kişi ve işletmelerin kültürlerarası (iletişim) yeterliliğini edinmesi şart olmuştur. Kültürlerarası yeterliliğin gelişmesinde en etkili yöntem ise kültürel farklılık eğitimidir. Kültürel farklılık eğitimleri, kültüre ilişkin farkındalığın kazanılmasından kültürlerarası becerilerin edinildiği aşamaya kadar uzun ve kapsamlı bir süreci içermektedir. Bu çalışmada kültürlerarası yeterliliğin kazanılmasında kültürel farklılık eğitimlerinin önemi ve gerekliliği açıklanmaktadır.

The importance of the training of cultural diversity in obtaining intercultural competency

In 2Vst century, one of the most important conditions to be a world citizen depends on understanding other cultures and being aware of them. The foreign capitals' increasing international circulation speed, together with the globalization, has caused the local one and the international one to be face to face with each other. This condition, has made the cultural differences come to the fore in interpersonal interactions. For the components like the time, language, eating preferences, clothing types have been determined according to the cultural learning, It has become an obligation for a person or a business, who want to be successful in global economy, to obtain the intercultural communication competency. The most effective method for developing intercultural competency is the cultural diversity training. The training of cultural diversities cover wide range of process from obtaining the awareness connected with the culture, to the phase in which intercultural skills have been gotten. In this study, the importance and necessity of the cultural diversity training in obtaining intercultural competency have been explained.
